Directions to This Weekend's (Oct 15-16) Pizza Fest
We're dotting the i's and crossing the t's on this weekend's Pizza Festival, and time has come to explain to some of you who never wander far from Sanlitun where it's all going down: the Zaha Hadid-designed Wangjing SOHO.
Contrary to what some may believe, Wangjing is not some mythical, faraway place, it’s an integral part of our fair city, and come this weekend, it'll be the very epicenter of all things. We've got 24 pizza vendors -- not to mention booze, bands, and distractions galore -- all ready to fill your stomachs by the slice.
You did remember to pre-purchase your tickets, right? If not, click here to purchase and secure your slice, otherwise you might find yourself in a long line to get into the venue.
Getting to the Pizza Fest is easy, whether you plan to take the subway, the bus, an Uber or drive yourself.
First off: Wangjing SOHO is a huge development covering more than 20,000 square meters -- our festival will be happening to the southwest of the main buildings on a closed-off public road that runs northwest to southeast (just southwest of that is a public park). It's the area marked in red below (click image to enlarge):
By Subway:
Our recommendation is to simply take the subway. Both Line 15's WANGJING (望京) and Line 14's FUTONG (阜通) stations are closest to the venue (a little less than a kilometer away -- that's a 10-12 minute walk).
If you get off at FUTONG Station, leave via Exit C, then take an immediate right, and head northeast on Fu'an West Road. You will shortly spot the architectural marvel that is Wangjing SOHO spiraling in the distance.
If you get off at WANGJING Station, exit via A or C and head northeast on Hengchang Road, then take the first major road on the right (Wangjing Street). Head southeast for about half a kilometer until you hit Fu'an West Road, then take a left and the event entrance will be just up the road.
By Uber/Taxi:
Plug in one of the following addresses (or show your cabbie) and you'll be taken to one end or the other of the street fair (we'll have entrance booths on both ends):
利星行广场西门 (Lei Shing Hong Plaza West Gate) will take you to the southwest entrance of the event;
阜安西路公交站 (Fu'an West Road Bus Station) will take you to the northwest entrance of the event.

By car:
You can find detailed directions in English here: wangjingsoho.sohochina.com/en/location. There's plenty of underground parking at SOHO itself (priced at RMB 6 per hour).
Expected driving times from the following locations to Wangjing SOHO:
Lido area (3km) 15 minutes;
WAB area (6km) 30 minutes;
Sanlitun area (9 km), 30 minutes;
Wudaokou area (14 km) 40 minutes.
By Bus:
The following bus stations are closest to the event:
Fu'an West Road Stop (阜安西路公交站) Service from bus lines 8, 19, 467;
Rongke Ganlan Cheng stop (融科橄榄成公交站) Service from bus lines 8, 19, 536, 538;
Guofeng Beijing stop (国风北京公交站) Service from bus lines 8, 19, 536, 538.
By Bike:
The most daring way of getting to our Pizza Fest, however, might just be cycling it. Why not try out the new MoBike App; after all, there's no harm in burning some extra calories before getting to the good stuff.
Once you get into the area, the festival will be kind of hard to miss -- if all else fails, look for this giant 8-meter tall inflatable pizza (we're pretty sure we'll be the only one there with one of those):
Tickets are still on sale and are limited so buy ahead to make sure you don't miss out! Click here to purchase.
